Integrative Acupuncture and Massage Therapy, PLLC was established by Michel A. Solounias, MS, L.Ac., LMT with an objective to provide the highest possible quality of care for the community. My 11 year old sim a competitve dancer. For weeks she was complaining about lower back pain. I took her to an orthopedist and they diagnosed a bulging disc. We bought her a new bed, tried over the counter pain meds, rest from dancing, anything we could think of we tried. They gave her PT for 4 weeks, but for some reason it did nothing for her. Just as we hit our last appointment for PT (my insurance company wasn’t planning to extend her therapy for any more time) I was referred to Michel. He took the time to talk to me on the phone about my daughter’s history and condition. We made an appointment for the next day. He looked over her film and decided that massage therapy and traction would be the best course of action. During each appointment he was friendly, soothing, informative and compassionate. We literally went to Michel 4 times and she was all better! He is outstanding. My daughter was back to dancing competitively by the end of the month. I wish I had the referral weeks earlier! Thank you Michel for everything!

I have been having pain in the muscles of my upper back, neck and shoulder for going on a year now and one day my physical therapist recommended I make an appointment with Michel. I finally made an appointment and am so happy I did so. Michel is absolutely wonderful. He is extremely kind and compassionate and made me feel very comfortable from the very first moment. He is really helping to relieve a lot of the pain I have with this very bad chronic muscle spasm and I am elated to finally have had some relief. Michel is very gentle and takes his time with everything he does. He is very patient and explains everything as he does the various treatments. (massage, acupuncture, cupping and a few other things as well)
In addition to being very skilled and knowledgeable, he is also genuinely concerned and sincere. The negative impact that pain has on the emotions is often as crippling as the pain itself. I find his compassion to be as healing as all the treatments he uses and I feel very fortunate to have met him.

My neurologist referred me to Integrative in 2013 after a serious car accident that I was involved in. Although I had no broken bones, I suffered from constant headaches, ringing in my ear and severe pain in my neck and shoulder due to soft tissue damage that was not helped by physical therapy or chiropractic care. Michel was very caring in his approach and always took the time to thoroughly explain any/all procedures planned for each visit. I had never previously considered acupuncture treatment, but I found that it was most appropriate in my recovery process. I would definitely recommend Michel, as he is very professional, knowledgeable and flexible with his patients.

Amazing experiences!!!
I found Michel by chance two years ago when I had sprained my quad and needed it to be fixed for a physical assessment I had to take. I didn't know where else to turn so I took a chance and made an appointment with him. (He fit me in the very next day, and even gave me some advice on what to do until then!) I was apprehensive at first as I had not experienced accupuncture before that visit. Well, he worked with me and had me back to normal in no time! He was very attentive and knowledgeable, and I wouldn't have been able to pass my assessment without his help. I went back to him for two other injuries on which he used accupuncture and also massage therapy.
Michel is now working towards helping to figure out a hormonal imbalance I have that is causing me to have acne-like breakouts on my face. So far so good! I highly recommend him to help with any issue you may have. He will always find a way!! He works very hard to meet the needs of his patients and is flexible with scheduling. He's knowledgeable, caring, and bends over backwards to meet the needs of his patients!! Highly recommended for any needs you may have. Whatever it is he will find a way to help!

I went to Michel with intense stabbing pain in my upper back. I initially went to my doctor who prescribed a painkiller and muscle relaxer which really didn't work. Michel was able to ease some of my pain on the very first visit. Through several weeks of massage and acupuncture my pain has all but disappeared. Michel has a gentle manner and is a true professional. I highly recommend his practice.

When I first started treatment at Integrative Acupuncture and Massage Therapy I was going to physical therapy 3 times a week but I was still in constant pain from a car accident a few months prior. One day my physical therapist recommended I speak with Michel to see if there was something he could do to help. I set up an appointment and after just a few visits I finally had some relief and I was able to stop taking medication for pain. It's been a couple of months having massage, cupping and acupuncture and now I finally have pain free days. I'm am still being treated and I am happy to be able to do some of the things I did before the accident.

I have been in pain and discomfort on an intermittent basis with varying degrees of severity. I have been to Physical Therapy, have taken anti-inflammatory medication, and muscle relaxers with little improvement. I finally have relief from headaches and numbness on a fairly consistent basis after a car accident. I know it was from Michel's medical massage treatment because when I stopped for a few months the symptoms started to return.

I have known Michel and been a patient of Integrative Acupuncture and Massage for 6 years and I can attest to the combination of his skills, and personal commitment and care that he brings to each visit I make there. The wholistic and integrative approach puts this practice above others. This practice is thorough, and they use every method they can in order to target the root causes of any issues I have had. Michel puts his heart into his work and personalizes the experience. In the Fall of 2013, while treating with Michel, he noticed something not right with my neck. I just thought I had hurt my neck muscles and had a stiff neck. A few weeks later I was diagnosed with a serious case of osteomyelitis. After surgery and recovery I returned to care at this practice and my recovery was improved. For all of this I will always be thankful. Michel is willing to go above and beyond to support the healing process for me and through the years I have experienced great relief with increased range of motion, and less pain and tension. Michel is a dedicated practitioner and, simply stated, one of the best in his professions, and I consider him a friend.

A few years ago I took a fall and suffered for a long time from muscular pain in my lower back, neck and shoulders. Since I began treatment at Integrative Acupuncture and Massage Therapy the care has been exceptional. Both acupuncture and massage therapy have helped tremendously with all of my pains. Regular care here has allowed me to continue to improve and maintain a certain quality of life that is happier and healthier. I have been able to avoid medications and injections as a result. My first visit to Integrative Acupuncture and Massage Therapy was to address an issue with sciatic pain that numerous doctors couldn't offer me relief from. After several visits I noticed a significant improvement in my condition and he ultimately relieved my discomfort completely.
Going forward I came back for help with issues caused by menopause which they were able to improve significantly. They were also very instrumental in keeping me centered while going through treatment for breast cancer.
Their kind, gentle and caring demeanor make them comfortable to talk too. I have and would recommend them to anyone.

My wife has been patient of Michel’s for many years and kept begging me to see him for chronic pain in my neck and back I had been suffering with for over 10 years as a result of injuries from a car accident. I was resistant to see Michel due to a phobia of needles. I expressed this to Michel so he told me to come in and he’d work with massage until I was comfortable with trying acupuncture.

My wife kept telling me that acupuncture needles aren’t like the “needles” I hated in the doctor’s office. She was right! After 10 years of suffering I now have significant relief from the pain in both my neck and back and I continue to see Michel for flare ups.

I no longer hesitate to call Michel when something is bothering me. I just pulled a muscle in my shoulder last evening and although my wife works in physical therapy, she told me to see Michel first. She said he works wonders if she gets there immediately when something crops up—so I’ll go!

Michel has been helping me for several years. I have multiple medical and orthopedic problems including osteoarthritis and fibromyalgia. I am also a healthcare professional so I am very particular about the medical professionals I see.

I have suffered with fibromyalgia for over 20 years and I feel so much more able to live and participate in my life since I started seeing Michel. The fibromyalgia manifests itself in different ways in multiple and changing areas of my body. It leaves me prone to tendinitis’ which, on multiple occasions, have been relieved in one visit with Michel. I know that if I see Michel at the onset of a recurring or new problem the chances are he can relieve it in one or possibly two sessions. I have also had immediate relief in one or two treatments at the first signs of sciatica and relief with several visits when I waited and the sciatica pain was excruciating.

I suffer from anxiety as result of the ever constant and changing scope and areas of pain. When I arrive at his office stressed out and anxious, like magic, he provides relief.

Michel uses a multidisciplinary approach being licensed in acupuncture, massage therapy and nutrition. I believe that is an immense factor in his successful outcomes with me. I believe he is truly a healer. He listens carefully to my problems and goals for each treatment and tailor’s each treatment specifically toward that end. Michel truly cares about the physical and emotional well-being of his patients.

When I first started treatment at Integrative Acupuncture and Massage Thherapy I had recently reached a point in physical therapy where I was not improving any longer. However I was still in constant pain from a recent injury. I was told to just keep taking OTC meds for pain relief. It's been a little less than 2 months now having acupuncture and massage therapy here and now I finally have pain free days. I'm not done yet but it's refreshing to have hope again.

Acupuncture has helped relieve so many symptoms, it's hard to list them all. I have been living with MS (multiple sclerosis) for the past 15 years and until I met Michel and actually tried acupuncture, I had no idea that there were other ways to treat the symptoms of MS without using prescription medications. Michel, has helped with the myriad of symptoms related to MS, that include but are not limited to sensation loss, numbness, pain, balance, and my overall energy level. In addition to having MS, I also have been dealing with a shoulder injury and acupuncture as well as massage therapy has also been so helpful with that as well. Besides being an acupuncturist and overall wonderful person, Michel is also a licensed massage therapist as well as a nutritionist, and his expertise in all areas combined with his patience and the attention he spends to correctly diagnose and treat has been beyond priceless. I highly recommend him to anyone who is dealing with anything from a cold, chronic pain, back issues and yes, something as complicated as Multiple Sclerosis. I can honestly say that he is my go to person when I have anything from an upper respiratory infection, any type of pain, to simply just coping and living with MS. I haven't been on antibiotics for anything since beginning treatment with Michel 3 years ago, so needless to say I not only trust in Michel and his application of Eastern Medicine, but highly recommend it to anyone and everyone.

I have been under the care of Integrative Acupuncture and Massage Therapy for massage, acupuncture and cupping for six herniated discs in my neck, mid back and lower back from a motor vehicle accident for almost a year now.

Michel provides a very professional caring massage, acupuncture and cupping service on me weekly initially bi-weekly. All the providers here are very talented and perform these services very accurately which has resulted in my improved functional abilities.

I am amazed at how well they understand my muscular and skeletal issues during each session. They are incredible at recognizing problem areas just with touch and detailed evaluation. They know how to perform these functions exceptionally well, resulting in improved benefits to my daily activities. They recommend exercises, a healthly diet and muscular activities to help me live a better life.

I am so very grateful for this practice and its founder Michel and I know he has a talent that is second to none based on what he has done for me.
