Acupuncture is an integral part of a comprehensive system of health care called Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), or East Asian Medicine (EAM). There are four cornerstones of TCM. They are Acupuncture, Nutrition/Herbal Medicine, Physical manipulation/Massage Therapy, and Exercise (both physical and mental).
Acupuncture promotes healing within the body and mind by regulating your body systems and triggering your ability to regain health. Click on the image to see how Acupuncture can help you.
Our Massage therapists are licensed health professionals who apply a variety of massage techniques to the soft tissue of the body to achieve therapeutic effects. Massage therapy has been used for centuries around the globe and there are many different types. Integrative Acupuncture and Massage Therapy provides several types of massage, such as medical massage, Swedish massage, deep tissue massage, sports massage, trigger point work, and Tui Na.
Cupping therapy is a therapeutic method, which utilizes small rounded glass, plastic or rubber cups which are applied to the muscles using suction. They are placed there and either left in place for several minutes or moved up and down a muscle region. This therapy provides similar benefits as massage therapy does but instead of using downward pressure it uses decompression to take pressure off of muscle, nerves, and joints. This is a great way to help reduce pain and tension in a fast and safe way.
Utilizing plants for medicinal purposes is and has always been part of the human experience and part of medical care for all societies around the world. Integrative Acupuncture and Massage Therapy offers herbal medicine therapy in the form of traditional Chinese medicine and from a western herbal approach. Herbal medicine can be used to help treat a variety of health conditions in a safe and effective way. We conduct a thorough evaluation and prescribe custom formulated herbal medicine programs to suit your specific needs. All herbal products recommended are of the highest standard with purity and quality being our main concern.
